MLS Aces Week 31 Team of the Week

MLS Aces Week 31 Team of the Week

I think that this was a perfect way to end the team of the season. Nick Rimando is the week 31 keeper as he came up with a big time performance for RSL to win in a shutout, record 5 saves, and have RSL finish 3rd on the season. It was also a big week for defenders to score goals and have solid defensive games. Blackmon played huge for LAFC as he helped the Rapids to 1 goal scored. Blackmon also went out and recorded 2 assists on Vela goals. Roman Torres also played well in a game he needed to step up and start. Besides his shutout defensive performance, Torres scored the game winning goal to jump Seattle to 2nd. Two more big time seeding effective performances came from Julian Gressel and Dairon Asprilla in the midfield. Gressel scored once and assisted twice in Atlanta’s win as well as Asprilla who started, scored, and had an assist in Portland’s needed win. Up top it had to be Vela. Carlitos had a hat trick in the final game of the year. Vela’s goals gave him the single season goal scoring record, gave LAFC the most points in a season, as well as a bad ass way to end the regular season.
