Atlanta United Re-Sign Quentin Westburg Ahead Of 2024 Season

Atlanta United have re-signed goalkeeper Quentin Westburg ahead of the 2024 season. The 37 year old Westberg rejoins Atlanta now with a goalkeeper room of Brad Guzan, Josh Cohen, and himself. Westberg brings solid MLS leadership to the roster as he is a former Canadian Championship winner with Toronto FC with 85 games played between Toronto and Atlanta. 

I don’t see this move being one that is going to completely alter Atlanta’s season at all. If this season for Atlanta comes down to Westburg in net, then Atlanta has some other injury issues to look at. But, you can get far worse than Westburg as the third goalkeeper and spot backup on an MLS roster.
