Minnesota United FC Re-Sign Midfielder Wil Trapp

Minnesota United FC Re-Sign Midfielder Wil Trapp

Minnesota United FC have re-signed midfielder Wil Trapp ahead of the 2024 season. The 30 year old Trapp was a captain for the club last season, playing in over 3,000 minutes across all competitions. Trapp has 98 career games played for Minnesota United within his career, and this re-signing can hopefully put him over the century mark in games played for the club next season. The MLS veteran has also played for the Columbus Crew and Inter Miami prior to his time with the Loons.

Trapp looks to once again be one half of the starting double pivot for Minnesota. The Loons have depth in their lower midfield block with Trapp, Hassani Dotson, Joseph Rosales, and Kervin Arriaga. Things for the Loons all seem to hang on the future managerial hiring that looks like it will eventually come in 2024.
